Markings will vary considerably and shells have natural imperfections. The interiors are highly iridescent with colorful blues, greens and silver with some black markings.
These abalone shells are ideal containers for burning loose smudging herbs, or cone and resin incense. They are also great for keeping your sage and cedar smudge sticks in when the stick is lit but you don't want to hold it.
Note: If using Charcoal Tablets for burning resin incense, put an inch of sand in the bottom of the shell to prevent the shell from getting too hot and burning you or the surface under the shell.
