Gum Copal resin incense is used for love, meditation, cleansing and protection.
Gum Copal resin comes from the sturdy Bursera tree in the regions of southern Mexico. The resin is formed when the tree is cut and a thick milky liquid seeps out. It is dark in colour, very black, but changes colour as it dries. The Mayan Indians hold copal as very sacred and have used it in ceremonies since well before the invasion of the Spanish conquests to the Americas.
The dried natural resin, when burned, emits an odor similar to Frankincense but with a lighter, citrusy tone.
Very nice incense, burn very good & smell soooo gooood Merci Diane - Thank you too Rejean and I'm so very happy you like it - I do too :):) Diane

Awesome Resin!

This resin had a rich smell and produced lovely white smoke when burned on charcoal. I used almost a whole bag in an hour ritual. I found it to be wonderful in combination with Frankincense resin and a dried bundle of Mugwort...that gave a nice spacious mental state that still allowed for focus on tasks at hand.
